At a distance of 35 km from the city of Volos, Kissos is a mountainous village at an altitude of 520m. The scenery is inspired and is surrounded by nature. Chestnut and beech trees scatter the landscape, and ivy flourishes in abundance.

In the village, you can take magical walks along one of the many paths, and lose yourself in the village’s charm and beauty.

There are many water fountains and chapels scattered throughout the village. One such path will take you to the impressive monastery of Agios Efstathios, while another road will take you to the village of Hania.

If you plan to stay in Kissos, there is a nice selection of restaurants and tavernas serving tasty food, as well as accommodation available.

During the summer, you can go swimming at the beaches of Agios Ioannis, Papa Nero or Damouhari. During the winter, the village is close to the ski center of Agriolefkes, where you can participate in a selection of winter sports.

So, whatever time of the year you decide to visit Kissos, there will always be something for you to do and enjoy.

On the 17th July is the name day of Agia Marina, and on the 20th September is the name day of Agios Efstathios. Large celebrations take place for these days, and you can enjoy the festivites with food, drink and traditional Greek music and dance.
